This course has been approved by the LSP Board for 8.0 hours of "Technical” continuing education credits (#1611). LSPA is also submitting this course for LEP credits in Connecticut and PDH credits in New York.   

Course Description:

Practitioners will emerge from this course with the ability to identify strengths and limitations of injection technologies using various site conditions and contaminant applicability. Additionally, following the course, attendees should be able to describe pertinent design considerations when opting for soil mixing or soil stabilization methodologies, explain the mechanics of activated carbon injectates, recognize how thermal remediation applies to challenging sites, and evaluate sites and choose the correct enhanced options for remediation. The course provides an in-depth discussion and dissection of case studies. For each of these case studies, the instructor possesses first-hand field experience and will identify field implementation concerns as they relate to conclusions derived from lab and data calculations.

Please note: This newly-created course is focused toward a more experienced audience of practitioners. The goal of the course is to address practical project approaches; it does not aim to teach chemistry or advertise current commercially available products and technologies.
