Course Description:

This seminar will provide an overview of and requirements for the EPA’s New Dewatering and Remediation General Permit (DRGP). This permit is required at certain MCP sites that require dewatering during remediation. Topics will include but are not limited to:

How this permit differs from the expired dewatering and remediation permits;
The separate but cooperative roles of EPA and MassDEP in approving DRGPs;
Application and reporting requirements using new e-reporting tools;
Changes to effluent limitations and monitoring requirements; and
Endangered species, historic preservation, and environmental justice reviews.
