Passing of the Gavel

The LSPA’s annual “Passing of the Gavel” ceremony took place at our July 27 Leadership Meeting, formally marking the change of LSP presidency from (left to right) Kevin Beaulieu, LSP, to Michael (Mike) Penzo, LSP.

Mike will serve as LSPA President through June 30, 2017.

Our new president has been very active in the LSPA for the past 15+ years, including serving as Chair of the Loss Prevention Committee, and was first elected to the LSPA Board in 2012. Mike is a Licensed Professional Geologist (PG) in New Hampshire, a Certified Professional Geologist (CPG), and has been a Licensed Hazardous Waste Site Cleanup Professional (LSP) in Massachusetts since 1998.

Mr. Penzo is President of Penzo Consulting and is on the faculty in the Department of Geological Sciences at Bridgewater State University. Thank you for stepping up to lead the LSPA; we look forward to working with you in the coming year.

Also a huge thank you to Kevin Beaulieu, our Past President, for his leadership and dedication over the past year. Kevin’s year was action packed and challenging but he was able to navigate the association in the right direction each time. We truly appreciate all you have done for the LSPA.
