The Massachusetts Board of Registration of Hazardous Waste Site Cleanup Professionals (“LSP Board”) has opened a comment period and will hold a public hearing on the proposed amendments to the regulations at 309 CMR 1.00-9.00: Regulations of the Board of Registration of Hazardous Waste Site Cleanup Professionals. The proposed amendments include changes to:
- Continuing education requirements for LSPs and course providers
- Examination procedures
- Definitions, license renewals, and other topics
The proposed amendments, a background document, and public meeting registration link are available on the LSP Board’s website.
IMPORTANT DATES:
- Public Hearing: June 16, 2025, at 6:00 PM. More information on the hearing can be found on the LSP Board’s website.
- Public Comment Period: Comments on the proposed amendments can be submitted until June 26, 2025, at 5:00 PM ET.

Comments can be provided in the following ways:

- The LSPA’s Regulations Committee is soliciting comments and your input* can be sent to [email protected]. Comments must be received by June 11, 2025.
- Attend the LSP Board of Registration public hearing on June 16, 2025, at 6:00 PM ET. This meeting will be held via Zoom. More information on how to register can be found on the LSP Board’s website.
