The Board of Registration of Hazardous Waste Site Cleanup Professionals (LSP Board) has announced upcoming exam dates for individuals seeking to become an LSP in Massachusetts. Exams will be offered on the following dates in 2025:
- Thursday, September 4, 2025
- Friday, September 5, 2025
- Tuesday, October 21, 2025
- Wednesday, October 22, 2025
About the LSP Exam
To sit for the exam, candidates must first be deemed eligible by the LSP Board. Eligibility requirements include a combination of education, professional experience, and demonstrated good moral character, as outlined in 309 CMR 3.02.
The exam tests knowledge of:
- The Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) (310 CMR 40.0000)
- The LSP Board’s regulations (309 CMR 1.00–9.00)
- Other policies and practices relevant to site cleanup in Massachusetts
Exams are administered in person, and applications to take the exam must be submitted through the EEA ePLACE Citizen Access Portal.
