The LSPA Nominations and Elections (N&E) Committee is charged with developing a slate of candidates for the LSPA Board of Directors and is seeking nominations for eligible candidates. Nominations must be received by Friday, March 13, 2026.
Overview and Process
The LSPA Board of Directors is comprised of nine members, three of whom may be Associate (non-LSP) members. Current Board members are listed on the LSPA website here.
The LSPA Board of Directors has three available positions*. Board members serve for a three-year term, beginning on July 1, 2026.
The N&E Committee will present a list of qualified candidates to the Board of Directors at the end of March 2026, and the final ballot will be sent to the LSPA membership for an election in April 2026.
*These three positions are inclusive of two current Board members who are eligible to sit for a second term and if voted in by the membership.
Board of Directors Criteria
Those nominated for the Board of Directors must:
- Be an LSPA member in good standing.
- Show genuine and committed interest in serving the LSPA and its members.
- Understand the issues facing the LSPA and the waste site cleanup profession.
- Be familiar with the LSPA's governance structure, such as involvement in LSPA Committee work and/or leadership.
- Be available for monthly for Board of Directors meetings, and quarterly Board/Committee Chairs meetings.
