Event Description:
The LSPA’s Emerging Professionals Committee (EPC) invites aspiring environmental professionals to join this first session in a discussion series titled, “Path to the LSP.”

This virtual moderated panel discussion will feature LSPs from a range of firms and backgrounds who will share their journeys to becoming licensed and their experiences in the practice. Panelists will discuss how they decided to pursue the LSP credential, how they prepared to become an LSP (beyond exam prep), and what they wish they’d known before starting out.

Topics will include:

  • The decision-making process behind becoming an LSP
  • Preparing for licensure beyond exam study*
  • Key skills to develop early in your career
  • What makes a successful and effective LSP

Participants are encouraged to submit questions in advance to [email protected], or ask them live during the session.

*Please note that a future session will cover exam prep in particular.

Who Should Attend:
This session is ideal for emerging professionals working in the environmental field—particularly in site assessment, remediation, or related disciplines—as well as college and graduate students exploring a career in hazardous waste site cleanup.

Whether you’re just beginning your career or considering the next step toward licensure, this conversation will offer practical insights and valuable advice from experienced professionals.
