Course Program Information
Fundamentals of Organic Chemistry, Part I, will provide LSPs and other environmental professionals with a practical and accessible foundation in organic chemistry as it relates to environmental assessment, site characterization, and contamination management. Designed for participants with varied levels of chemistry background, the course emphasizes clear explanations and real-world relevance. A Q&A session will follow the presentation.

Part I will be followed by a Part II, which will take place as a live webinar in June 2026. Part I is not a prerequisite for Part II, but it is encouraged that attendees take Part I before taking Part II to reinforce basic concepts. Those with advanced chemistry knowledge may choose to only take Part II.

This course has been approved for 4.0 LSP Technical credits (#1420-1), and 4.0 CT LEP credits (CTLEP-637W). It has also been submitted for NY PE/PG credits.
