Course Information

This course is designed to inform LSPs and other environmental professionals about their obligations under state, local, and federal wetlands protection regulatory programs, with an emphasis on the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Regulations at 310 CMR 10.00. The course will provide an introduction to wetland vegetation and hydric soils and a summary of Massachusetts and federal wetland regulations pertinent to the MCP and will then explore case studies of actual site situations where the MCP and wetland regulations intersected. The afternoon portion of the course involves time at local wetlands field stations and more classroom case studies.
