When: Wednesday, November 17, 2021 This member meeting presentation has been approved by the LSP Board of Registration for 1.5 LSP Technical credits.
Meeting Description:
The first portion of this program will be presented by several LSPs working on PFAS issues from a variety of perspectives. The second portion of the program will consist of presentations from representatives of four waste management companies providing options for management of PFAS-contaminated environmental media. The meeting will be moderated by Kerry Tull, Co-Chair of the LSPA Technical Practices Committee. After each section there will be time set aside for Questions and Answers. Update on Two LSPA WES Grant-Funded Research Projects The LSPA WES Grant provides funding for research projects directly related to advancing the state of the practice of rendering LSP Opinions or the professionalism of LSPs participating in the MCP program. Read for more information.
PFAS Waste Management Each representative of these four waste management companies will provide information on the acceptance of PFAS-contaminated media at their facilities, discuss treatment options (including thermal desorption, incineration, closed loop systems, filtration services, etc.) and successful outcomes, challenges, and specific requirements for acceptance. 3:45 PM Welcome and Announcements
