After careful deliberation, the LSPA Board has determined that it is necessary to adjust our course and meeting rates. After more than 15 years of no changes, we are increasing the costs of our courses and meetings by $10/credit in order to keep up with rising costs. The LSPA needs to keep pace with increased venue, food/beverage, and AV costs for in-person events. And, surprisingly, we have learned that live webinars require more staff commitment and hours.
Beginning with the September 12, 2024, member meeting (and excluding the Sept. 25 course), the new member rates for LSPA and MassDEP/LSPA courses and meetings will be as follows:
$60 1-credit hour
$120 2-credit hour
$180 3-credit hour
$240 4-credit hour
$300 6-credit hour
$360 8-credit hour
The fine print:
- The same rates apply if you are attending a course or meeting for LEP or NY PE/PG credits.
- The registration fees for on-demand courses will remain the same for full and associate LSPA members (no increase in fees).
- Government employees will continue to receive reduced rates. Learn more here.
- Non-member rates for courses will be $150 more than the member rates. Non-member rates for member meetings will be $120/credit and $30/no credit.
The LSPA very much appreciates the participation of our members and others who attend LSPA courses and meetings. We believe that our access to state-of-the-practice information and expert speakers is a particular strength. And we are especially pleased to be continually building our library of on-demand courses – it’s currently at 23 offerings with several more in the works.
We look forward to continuing our commitment to excellence in our continuing education offerings throughout the coming years.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please don’t hesitate to reach out to LSPA Executive Director, Wendy Rundle or LSPA President, Joseph Roman.
